Vancouver Airport Authority, the operator of Vancouver International Airport (YVR) in British Columbia, Canada, has unveiled the third stage of its C$5.6bn (US$4.2bn) transformation program, which will expand the airport’s capacity to handle an estimated 35 million passengers by 2037.
The third consultation phase will lead to the final plan’s public release in 2018, once approved by the Canadian Minister of Transport. Proposed construction works will begin with the expansion of Pier D and the East Concourse, as illustrated by the following fly-through video.
