Turkish airport operator iGA has introduced a new animated video detailing everything there is to know about the Istanbul New Airport mega project, set to open on October 29, 2018.
Boasting an annual passenger capacity of 200 million once fully complete, Istanbul New Airport will combine all the latest aviation technologies with large, spacious architecture inspired by the cultural heritage of Istanbul.
The video highlights the spacious shopping and food and beverage outlets that have been designed with the Bosphorus in mind – the 32km (20-mile) strait that joins the Sea of Marmara with the Black Sea in Istanbul. The video also reveals brand new services such as the passenger guide robot and the “Where is my car?” app, providing passengers with maximum comfort and convenience. Istanbul New Airport will host flights to more than 350 destinations and will be supported by approximately 143 passenger boarding bridges, 13 check-in counter islands, 468 check-in desks, 114 self-service check-in kiosks, 228 passport control counters, and 51 bag-drop units.
