Manchester Airport is currently undertaking a major £1bn (US$1.3bn) transformation program, which will see the extension and modernization of Terminal 2, new piers and car parking facilities and an enhanced passenger experience. The terminal extension is set to open in July 2020, with the existing fully reconfigured Terminal Two opening in 2022. Once fully open the new T2 will be 150% larger.
