Sydney Airport in Australia has partnered with active wear brand Lorna Jane to launch a Lorna Jane Active Living Room facility in Terminal 2 (T2). The new destination offers passengers a unique space to take part in yoga or strength sessions, or to grab a snack before boarding their flight.
Lorna Jane Active Living Rewards Members can enjoy free access to the living room area, whereas guests can pay A$12 (US$8.60) for 45-minute yoga or Pilates sessions.
Lorna Jane Clarkson, founder and chief creative officer of Lorna Jane, said, “We are thrilled to partner with Sydney Airport and provide passengers with the opportunity to exercise, stretch and nourish themselves with healthy food before boarding their flight, and ultimately to be healthier and happier.
“People are more mindful of their health than ever before so it makes sense to bring our Active Living Room concept to Sydney’s T2 domestic terminal and provide passengers with the opportunity to put their health first, even when traveling.”
Glyn Williams, general manager, retail, Sydney Airport, said, “The Lorna Jane Active Living Room is a global airport first for Sydney Airport, and the unique health and wellbeing offering forms part of our wider improvements program designed to create an enhanced airport experience for passengers. The new space affords our passengers an opportunity to experience a greater sense of wellbeing within the airport environment.
“Concepts like the Lorna Jane Active Living Room directly address the growing needs of the modern traveler for an increase in healthy food options, enhancing value and choice, and we’re excited to have them on board at Sydney Airport.”
