London Heathrow Airport has partnered with a team of fashion illustrators to open free gift-wrapping facilities for passengers, providing them with stylish bags and boxes for their holiday gifts.
The exclusive wrapping designs have been created by fashion illustrators Daisy de Villeneuve, Clym Evernden and Fifi Lapin, as well as fashion blogger Emily Johnston. The service allows for one item to be wrapped free of charge per passenger providing that gifts are purchased in the airport’s departure lounge. The wrapping stations will be available in all terminals and will include donation boxes for leading charity Oxfam.
Jonathan Coen, retail director at Heathrow Airport, said, “We’re very proud of the retail experience at Heathrow and are home to over 450 brands across the airport, meaning those traveling to visit loved ones will have lots to choose from when looking for that perfect present. From luxury fragrances to the latest gadgets, there’s something for everyone, and for anyone struggling to make up their minds, our Gift Helpers will be on hand to offer expert insight and help with all aspects of your Christmas shopping – from choosing to carrying and wrapping.
“We wanted to offer our passengers something extra special this year so we’re thrilled to reveal our limited edition gift bags and boxes, designed by some of the most celebrated British fashion illustrators and bloggers. And what better time to spread some festive cheer by raising much-needed funds for our charity partner, Oxfam.”
