Concessionaire Lagardere Travel Retail has opened a new multi-purpose retail store in Terminal 1 (T1) at Perth International Airport in Australia.
The LINK store, an adaptation of Lagardere’s NewsLink concept, features several different retail areas including Lonely Planet, Travelwell and tech2go. Each section provides passengers with a unique retail offering, stocking a range of travel guides, pharmaceutical products and electronic devices.
As well as its latest LINK concept, Lagardere is set to open a new 1,130ft² pharmaceutical/convenience combination store in T1 in 2016. The Travelwell section of the new store will stock products such as travel remedies, skin care, make-up, fragrances and pharmacy accessories, whereas the Trader section will provide travelers with a range of drinks, confectionery, savory snacks, sandwiches and sweets.
Scott Norris, executive general manager commercial services at Perth Airport, said, “Travelwell is an exciting new wellness retail concept not only for Perth, but Australia, and we are thrilled to build on our partnership with Lagardère Travel Retail to ensure the travel wellness and convenience needs of both domestic and international passengers are looked after at T1.”
Paul Ryan, development director, Pacific, Lagardère Travel Retail, said, “We are very proud to be bringing the combination of Travelwell and Trader to Perth Airport, allowing us to improve the overall shopping experience at the airport. We are confident all travelers will be equipped with everything they need for their journey and beyond, along with providing everyday essentials for the airport community.”
