Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai, India, is to merge its Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 operations, effective October 1, 2019.
The airlines affected by the move are IndiGo, GoAir and SpiceJet. IndiGo and GoAir will operate all domestic flights from T1 and its international flights from T2, while SpiceJet will shift its full operation to T2. According to the airport operator, the move will not only benefit airports but will make the journey through the airport easier for passengers.
One of the busiest airports in India, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport currently serves 50 international and nine domestic airlines.
