State-owned operator Lithuanian Airports has partnered with universal travel application Flio to provide official apps for Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga airports.
Flio will feature indoor maps of the three airports plus information about duty-free shopping, phone-charging stations, changing rooms, toilets, and food and beverage outlets.
Alongside the airport offerings, Flio provides real-time information on flight schedules, delays and weather. Passengers also have access to local travel information such as airport taxi charges, the nearest car rental locations, public transport routes, schedules and ticket-related information.
Gediminas Almantas, head of Lithuanian Airports, said, “By joining Flio’s global app, Lithuanian Airports will be able to make every trip even more enjoyable and convenient for our passengers. Flio gives us the perfect platform to service and grow revenue via domestic and international travelers. We believe that in the long run Flio will become our main passenger information and marketing platform for Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga airports.”
Kirk Flitton, business director, Flio, said, “Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga are the types of airports we love to partner with. Airports that are not afraid to look at other alternatives in order to provide a greater experience for their passengers, as well giving them ways to maximize the commercial revenue that these passengers could bring them.”
