Japan Airlines (JAL) has launched a new app that provides passengers with waiting times at security checkpoints in Terminal 1 of Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, Japan.
The new service, which starts on July 1, has been developed under the airline’s JAL Smart Style initiative, which aims to develop innovative travel experiences for passengers that are simple, convenient and speedy.
The new function has been developed by Hitachi and been integrated into the airline’s JAL Countdown app. It was developed in response to customer demands for an improved departure experience at the airport – passengers can use the new service to check waiting times at four security checkpoints at Haneda’s Terminal 1, and users of JAL Countdown can then decide the shortest path through security.
