Clear, a fast-track membership service designed to expedite the US airport security process, has expanded its service to include all terminals at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in California.
To use Clear, passengers must first enter their details online and then visit an official Clear center to register their biometric signatures, including their fingerprint and iris, against their driving license or passport. It also possible to enroll at selected airports and use the service immediately.
The next time the member flies from one of 22 Clear registered airports, they can simply scan their iris or fingerprint at designated kiosks and proceed directly to TSA physical screening. Clear also has hospitality-trained staff on hand to assist passengers where required.
Caryn Seidman-Becker, CEO, Clear, said, “We have no doubt the VIP Clear experience will resonate with Los Angeles consumers and we couldn’t be more excited to offer another place for our loyal members to use Clear.”
Deborah Flint, CEO of Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), the operator of LAX, said, “With Clear as an added benefit at LAX, we continue to improve the LAX guest experience by offering choices that help travelers save time. They will benefit from the freedom to enjoy shopping, dining options, as well as other guest amenities beyond security screening.”
