Airport retailer Stellar Partners has opened a Wired store at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, USA.
The first ever permanent location, the new Wired store is a state-of-the-art technology and tech accessories outlet designed and built in partnership with Condé Nast and Wired. It was inspired by Wired pop-up shops and features must-have gadgets, gear, and more.
“We are extremely pleased to work in such close partnership with the Condé Nast and Wired teams to bring the innovative Wired retail store to life,” said Stellar vice president of business development and strategic alliances Yasmin Sheriff. “This partnership means an exciting new retail experience for travelers.”
Wired and Stellar collaborated closely to answer the unique needs of the traveler market with a product assortment based on Wired’s experience and knowledge of the tech world, as well as Stellar’s airport retail environment expertise.
“For more than a decade now, Wired’s annual pop-up shops have been hugely successful and popular with our audience,” said Wired editor in chief Nick Thompson. “We’re proud of the reputation that our temporary stores have built, and this permanent location will build on that by providing a place where consumers can touch and see the products they read about every day.
Travelers will find high-quality products recommended by Wired editors, including headphones and earbuds from Beats, Sony, and Master & Dynamic, backpacks from Peak Design, and smart speakers from JBL. Shoppers will be able to pick up copies of Wired magazine and have the opportunity to receive discounts on future subscriptions.
The Wired store is in Terminal B, in the A+B Connector and near Gate B19.
