LS travel retail North America has opened four new stores in Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The stores – USA TODAY Travel Zone, Bienvenida Flowers & Gifts, iStore and Malibu Shades – are all located pre-security, in the arrivals level of the new Tom Bradley International Terminal.
The four stores were awarded by Westfield through a competitive evaluation process, which LS travel retail won in partnership with the Los Angeles-based Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (ACDBE) firm Concourse Concessions.
iStore provides a selection of hardware and accessories from Apple, Sony, Monster, and many more. It also features iStore’s new luxurious design, with a new storefront, modern fixtures and more opportunities for product interactions.
LS’s proprietary brand, Bienvenida, offers an assortment of flowers and gifts, including boxed chocolates and plush toys, catering specifically to the meeters & greeters, nicely merchandised in a modern kiosk. Also a kiosk, Malibu Shades provides a wide assortment of sunglasses from world famous brands, while USA TODAY Travel Zone complements the arriving passengers’ last-minute pick-ups with a convenient assortment of snacks, beverages and magazines.
“We are delighted to be opening these new stores,” said Vadim Motlik, chief development officer, LS travel retail North America.
“They complement our travel essentials, specialty retail and food & beverage offer post-security, and we are glad to now be serving both the arriving and the departing passenger in this ground-breaking new terminal.”
“These four outstanding concepts, joining 11 other dining and retail destinations, enhance the traveler’s experience in the new pre-security environment,” said Keith Kaplan, vice president, development, Westfield.
“As local tourism continues to thrive, driving record numbers of travelers to LAX, we are thrilled that arriving passengers from around the world will immediately have access to new world-class stores to dine, shop and relax.”
