Retail operator Dubai Duty Free has opened two new Apple stores in Concourse B of Terminal 3 (T3) at Dubai International Airport in the UAE. Located near gates B15 and A12, the new outlets cover an area of 925ft² and 750ft² respectively. The opening of the stores has already resulted in an 8% increase in Apple sales at the airport.
The new outlets will stock the full Apple product range including the iPhone, iPad, Apple watch, MacBook, Apple TV and various Apple accessories. Employees at the new stores have all undergone extensive product training by Apple to help deliver the best possible customer experience.
Colm McLoughlin, executive vice chairman and CEO of Dubai Duty Free, said, “With the Apple shop program in Concourse B being the largest in any travel retail in the world, this is a very exciting development for Dubai Duty Free and our customers. They will enjoy the design, layout and products, along with first class customer experience and product knowledge.
“Based on our current sales projections, we expect Apple sales to reach AED220m (US$61m) this year.”
