Two Jabbrrbox workspace pods have been installed in Terminal 2 at Oakland International Airport in California.
Each pod is equipped with a desk and seating, and features wi-fi, USB charging, flight-tracking tools, terminal maps, and a photobooth app. Located near Gate 25, the Jabbrrbox pods can be rented for 30 minutes at a time, at US$15 per half-hour. A wi-fi password and a door code are provided at the time of reservation.
“We are always looking for ways to improve the customer experience at Oakland International, and are so proud to host the first Jabbrrboxes on the West Coast,” said Bryant L Francis, Port of Oakland director of aviation at Oakland International Airport. “This is a great way to enjoy privacy while being productive.”
Oakland is the first West Coast airport to introduce Jabbrrboxes. The pods are already in use in Terminal 4 at John F Kennedy International Airport; in Central Terminal B in Piers C and D at LaGuardia Airport; in Concourse B at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport; and in Concourses B and C at Pittsburgh International Airport.
