Incheon International Airport in South Korea has claimed top spot in two categories of the Airports Council International’s (ACI) Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey for the 10th consecutive year.
The airport was voted top in the categories of best airport in the Asia-Pacific region and best airport handling over 40 million passengers. The results of the ASQ survey were collected from face-to-face interviews with 550,000 international passengers at more than 300 airports around the world during 2014.
Park Wan-su, president and CEO of Incheon International Airport Corporation, the airport operator, said, “Incheon Airport started as a small airport in Northeast Asia that no one took notice of. It has now achieved big things with the miraculous record of being named the world’s leading service airport for 10 years in a row. I am humbled and thankful for the efforts and contribution of the 40,000 Incheon Airport employees.
“Incheon Airport staff will continue the qualitative and quantitative development, backed by the support of the government and the public. This will make Incheon Airport not only the bona fide global hub airport, but also the best airport in service, as well as in all sectors of airport operations.”
