The Parking Spot, the USA’s largest owner and operator of near-airport parking properties, has opened a second facility at Philadelphia International Airport in Pennsylvania, with 1,663 parking spaces.
Located across the street from The Parking Spot’s first location, this second property includes more than 1,200 spaces covered by a large canopy, providing shading for passengers. The opening of the new facility adds more than thirty jobs to the market, bringing The Parking Spot’s total employment in Philadelphia close to 100 jobs.
Kevin Shrier, president and CEO of The Parking Spot, said, “Before The Parking Spot opened its new facility, there were very few choices for canopy-covered spaces in the Philadelphia market. We heard feedback not only from our own guests, but also from the broader market that there was a void when it came to covered parking. With a full canopy, both the spaces and the aisles are covered, allowing travelers to stay cooler in the summer and be protected from the elements during periods of rain and snow.”
