Plaza Premium Lounge Management (PPLM) has opened its newest independent lounge in the departures area of Terminal 4 (T4) at London Heathrow Airport.
The lounge is available to all travelers regardless of airline or class of travel, and is part of the company’s wider US$40m global expansion plan. Access to the lounge costs from £35 (US$55) per person for two hours and includes access to a wide range of food and beverages, as well as complimentary wi-fi and shower use.
The new Plaza Premium Lounge has been designed to be light and spacious with floor-to-ceiling windows and a skylight, making it a relaxing place to rest or work. The black and white tiled kitchen area with live cooking station and buffet is at the center of the concept, offering a selection of Asian and European inspired dishes. A separate bar area acts as the lounge’s social hub and there are productivity pods for those looking for a quiet space to work or watch a film on their tablet PC.
For guests wanting further privacy, the lounge has a VIP area with a separate entrance to the lounge and three private resting suites. VIP guests can use the area for meetings, sleeping, or having a massage.
Song Hoi-see, founder and CEO of PPLM, said, “We can see rapid growth in London Heathrow, passengers are not only traveling more, but also traveling smarter, seeking out facilities like ours
to make the most out of their travel experience.
“We are very excited by our continued expansion at London Heathrow – one of the most important traveling hubs in the world. Our presence here is key to our international growth strategy and in particular, our plans to expand into Europe.
“IATA predicts that air traffic passenger numbers will reach 7.3 billion by 2034, more than double the 3.3 billion in 2014 – and at Plaza Premium Lounge, we respond to and deliver the increasing demand from all travelers for improved services at airports.”
Following the recent opening in T4, PPLM now has three lounges at London Heathrow and is set to open the company’s first UK airport hotel in London Heathrow Terminal 3 in 2016.
