Lounge operator No1 Lounges has opened an independent passenger lounge at London Gatwick Airport’s South Terminal – its sixth at the airport. The lounge has opened under its ‘My Lounge’ brand and features an outside terrace area, with views of the airport.
No1 now operates three distinct brands in both terminals: My Lounge (premium economy and leisure markets), No1 Lounges (business class) and Clubrooms (first-class).
Loft-inspired, the new My Lounge combines bold contemporary design with the laid-back feeling of home. It offers a delicious grazing menu, self-serve bar, cocktail station and games room. The lounge is now available to book at no1lounges.com and is priced at £24 (US$30) for adults and £12 (US$15) for children.
This will be the company’s 11th lounge in the UK, with other sites at Heathrow, Edinburgh and Birmingham airports. It comes at time of rapid expansion for the brand, which opened new lounges in Heathrow Terminal 4 in October and Birmingham in November. The company will host 1.5 million passengers in its lounges this year.
Phil Cameron, founder and CEO of No1 Lounges, said, “We are so excited to be opening My Lounge at Gatwick Airport and to be able to offer its uniquely relaxed, social lounging in both terminals. We are also delighted to be partnering with Norwegian, which has chosen it as their Premium lounge at Gatwick. Our existing lounges have proved to be extremely popular with business and leisure travelers alike, so this new opening ensures we can offer the greatest choice of experiences, from informal to first-class lounging, and meet the ever-increasing demand.”
Guy Stephenson, chief commercial officer at Gatwick Airport, said, “The launch of No1’s My Lounge in Gatwick’s South Terminal is great news for the 46 million passengers who travel through Gatwick every year. This lounge offers a comfortable and affordable pre-flight experience, and the outdoor seating terrace – the first of its kind at Gatwick – is a particularly welcome addition. We’re pleased to be working with No1 to further expand its fantastic range of airport lounges at Gatwick.”
