A brand-new luxury lounge will soon be under construction at Newcastle International Airport in the UK.
Set to open in time for summer 2020, the premium lounge will offer high-end hospitality and views of the runway. It will have a 100-passenger capacity, will feature an upmarket bar area, and will offer a flexible environment that meets the needs of a wide range of passengers.
As well as providing a place for leisure passengers to relax, the lounge will provide dedicated working zones for business travelers, with desk space, charging ports and super-fast wi-fi.
The new lounge has been designed by northeast-based company Ward Robinson, as a comfortable yet luxurious communal space with a sense of calm.
Nick Jones, chief executive at Newcastle International Airport, said, “Airport lounges are becoming increasingly popular, and with the introduction of this new premium lounge in summer 2020, this will ensure we are satisfying customer demand.
“We are working closely with the designers to create a high-quality facility that responds to a range of customer requirements.”
Passengers will be able to pre-book access to the lounge from January 2020 via the Newcastle Airport website or the NCL Airport app.
The new lounge will be the airport’s third executive lounge, alongside the Aspire Lounge and the BA Lounge.
