Cathay Pacific Airways has opened a new lounge for departing passengers in Terminal 3 (T3) at Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport in the Philippines.
The new Manila lounge can seat 135 passengers and measures approximately 7,000ft², almost twice the size of the previous lounge in Terminal 1 (T1).
Designed by Studioilse, the lounge focuses on creating a sense of wellbeing and comfort for passengers, and achieves this by using warm, natural materials like wood and stone, as well as softened lighting where possible. Further design features include cherry wood walls and a limestone floor, framed with details such as glazed screens, green ceramic tiles, and bronze and brass finishes. The extensive use of plants gives color and life to the space, while local art works add an element of culture.
Passengers looking to catch up on work have access to three individual workstations with dual operating system iMacs and printers, and free wi-fi access is available throughout.
Passengers looking to dine before their onward journey can choose from a range of dishes at Cathay Pacific’s signature Noodle Bar, or enjoy a selection of tapas, desserts, freshly blended cocktails and a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from the bar.
