London Heathrow Airport has partnered with easyBus to establish a new shuttle service for passengers running between the airport and Shepherd’s Bush in London.
The new route will take as little as 30 minutes and will operate at least 90 times a day. The first bus will leave London at 3:30am, with the last bus leaving Heathrow at 1:25am. To celebrate the launch, tickets will be available to passengers for just £1 (US$1.55) from July 1-14, 2015. After this period, tickets will increase to £2 (US$3.10) per passenger.
Brian Woodhead, commercial director at Heathrow, said, “This new service is a fantastic addition to a variety of transport services to and from Heathrow and we’re delighted to start this partnership with easyBus. Heathrow is the UK’s best-connected transport hub. It has the UK’s only dedicated non-stop express airport rail-link, free travel zone, it contains the UK’s busiest bus and coach station, and it’s the only airport with London Underground stations. To have another service that is both convenient and great value is something I’m sure our passengers will be delighted to hear.”
Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, chairman of easyBus, said, “Heathrow has welcomed the value of the easy brand. This new service will be good for consumers as it expands the easyBus offer throughout the capital. Now, virtually every air passenger to London has the opportunity make great savings with easyBus.”
