Airport hospitality group OTG has partnered with chef and television personality Carla Hall to open a new high-tech restaurant in Terminal A at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
Hall is best known for her appearances on Bravo’s Top Chef and ABC’s The Chew, and has worked with OTG to create a local comfort food menu offering Pimento Cheese Dip, Cured Ham and Biscuits, Virginia She Crab Soup, Chesapeake Oysters, Vegetarian Quinoa Burger, Lobster Roll and BBQ Cobb Salad.
Page’s modern dining area can seat 110 travelers at any given time and has power outlets at each seat to charge diners’ personal devices. The area also has 75 iPads dispersed among the tables, allowing customers to order food via a visual menu. Each iPad has been equipped with OTG’s easy-to-use flo platform, which also enables travelers to check the status of their flights, browse the web or enjoy a number of preloaded apps. The development is part of a wider initiative to transform Terminal A.
Hall said, “As a proud resident of D.C. and a frequent business traveler at Reagan National Airport, it is so exciting for me to be a part of this project. Whether you are making a flight connection or spending time in the city, you have the opportunity to taste local food right at the airport. There are so many amazing culinary influencers with D.C. roots, it’s fabulous that diversity and a celebration of local fare is making its way to our airport. I love the people here, I love cooking here and I love calling this home.”
Rick Blatstein, CEO for OTG, said, “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce Page to Reagan National’s Terminal A. Carla Hall has been an amazing partner, and the beautiful space we’ve had to work with has inspired an incredible design. Our team is so excited about this new addition and look forward to continuing to elevate the experience for travelers and the district.”
