Food and beverage (F&B) operator SSP America has officially opened its new Marche C food hall at Tampa International Airport in Florida.
Marche C includes local favorites such as Goody Goody Burger, Ulele and Café con Leche from the Columbia Restaurant Group (CRG), as well as Bavaro’s, Fitlife Foods and Louis Pappas Fresh Greek from Tampa-based operators.
Established in 1905, CRG is still owned and operated by the founding family making it an ideal choice for bringing a sense of place to Marche C. The Ulele menu offers passengers a selection of oyster, grouper and chicken dishes, while Goody Goody features burgers, pies, fries and breakfast sandwiches. Newly created for Marche C, Café con Leche Ybor City offers travelers a variety of coffees brewed in Tampa’s Ybor City, as well as churros and pastries.
Richard Gonzmart, fourth generation caretaker of CRG, said, “We are tremendously excited for our three restaurants to join our restaurant friends and colleagues here at Marche C. Airports form travelers’ first and last impressions of an area. With Tampa International now offering a wide array of flavors from locally owned, family businesses, the best airport in the country now becomes the one with the best taste too.”
Michael Svagdis, CEO, SSP America, said, “We are honored to deliver a concept that is tailored to Tampa Airport’s vision of an extraordinary passenger experience that attracts travelers from around the globe. The restaurants at Marche C will truly offer travelers a taste of place.”
Alongside the CRG offerings, passengers will be able to dine at fast and casual Greek restaurant Louis Pappas Fresh Greek; pizza and Italian offering Bavaro’s; and David Osterweil’s Fitlife Foods, offering healthy grab-and-go meals specifically prepared for people on the go.
Commenting on the opening, Osterweil said, “We’re excited to be a part of this opportunity and represent Tampa and the local business community. At Fitlife Foods, we are committed to powering travelers to be at their best with our fresh, grab and go items that are nutritious, delicious and crafted from scratch.”
