Travel food specialist Hudson has announced an agreement with Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport to open a branch of Plum Market, which is known for organic and all-natural foods.
In a joint venture with HG Multiplex DFW, Hudson will license and operate the new 2,400ft2 (223m2) Plum Market location at the airport’s Terminal B. It is expected to open in mid-2020 and will feature a restaurant and bar offering a range of meals available to grab-and-go or enjoy on-site. The space will also include a retail section selling convenience items as well as natural, organic and sustainably sourced candies, packaged snacks and beverages alongside popular local brands.
The partnership with Plum Market, a Michigan brand, signifies Hudson’s first restaurant and bar operation at Dallas/Fort Worth and further strengthens its focus on providing travelers with fresh, hearty options. The new concept will integrate with an American Airlines gate holdroom to create a blended customer-focused restaurant area.
“Broadening our food and beverage offering is a key growth opportunity for our company as we monitor demand for natural, healthy options from passengers,” said Hudson CEO Roger Fordyce. “We’re delighted to partner with Plum Market to bring its organic and environmentally kind choices to travelers and staff at the airport.”
