Global restaurateur HMSHost has revamped its Fresh Attractions grab-and-go line, giving it a new focus on more artisanal choices and sustainable packaging.
Fresh Attractions now offers busy travelers a choice of more than two dozen products. Among them are new salad options including beet and goat’s cheese salad; and sandwiches such as ‘turkey cranberry brie’ and ‘chicken apple crunch’, the latter featuring fire braised chicken, red cabbage and red apple, topped with dill mayonnaise on multigrain bread.
“With the debut of our revamped Fresh Attractions line, travelers don’t have to sacrifice their mindful eating routines,” said HMSHost executive vice president and chief operating officer Jeff Yablun. “As innovators for the travel dining scene, we bring travelers smarter food choices that are not only naturally nutritious, but better for the environment, through the use of sustainable materials and the donation of fresh, surplus food to feed our communities.”
The range’s new transparent packaging includes color-coded nutritional labels to clearly identify ingredients and nutrition details. Its Bottlebox salad containers are made from recycled PET beverage bottles. For each salad sold, two plastic bottles are removed from a landfill and can be recycled again. All Fresh Attractions sandwiches are now sold in eco-friendly paper bags.
Fresh Attractions food is made daily and any surplus is donated to local organizations to help feed local communities.
The revamped range is available in more than 60 airports across North America.
