Helsinki International Airport in Finland has announced that new shopping and eating options are to open before the end of 2019.
In the non-Schengen area, next to gates 37-39, passengers will find new services ranging from a book shop and an electronics store, to a smoothie bar and a jewelry store. At arrivals hall 2A, a candy pop-up shop will offer a selection of 360 types of pick and mix sweets.
In December, the new Helsinki Smoothery will open at gate area 37–39, offering passengers quick and healthy refreshments to eat and drink – energizing smoothies, nourishing bowls and fresh juices.
From December onward, passengers in the area will also be able to make quality purchases at the new Collection store, which will offer a variety of sunglasses, jewelry and watches from well-known brands such as Swarovski, Aarikka, Tous, Swatch, Polar and Tissot.
Capi Electronics, the bookstore Suomalainen Kirjakauppa, and the full-service kiosk R-kioski, opened their doors in same part of the airport in October.
In early 2020, gate area 37–39 will also become home to a renewed Starbucks cafe.
In 2018, operator Finavia launched a public procurement process to find new retail operators for Helsinki Airport. More shops and restaurants will open their doors in 2020.
