Aberdeen International Airport passengers can now pre-order food from airport bars and restaurants to take away ahead of their flights.
Using the airport website or the Grab app, passengers can order and pay for food and soft drinks for collection from landside outlets The Granite City and Joe’s Coffee House. After security, they can order from The Distilling House.
The system works in real time, so when passengers place and pay for their order, they will receive a confirmation, followed by an alert when it’s ready to be picked up. The system also estimates when food will be ready.
Steve Szalay, managing director Aberdeen International Airport, said, “We’re always looking for new ways to provide our passengers with a greater choice as they pass through our upgraded terminal building.
“The Grab service is perfect for passengers who may not have time to sit down for a meal. It gives them the freedom to spend more time in the terminal, whether that be preparing for an important meeting ahead of business travel, or spending time relaxing before their flight.”
Avi Robinson, Grab’s commercial director, added, “The concept is all about convenience so we look forward to facilitating each customer’s journey through the airport, making it a little more fun and a little less stressful.”
