Italy’s Autogrill is expanding its operations in the UK after winning a contract for the opening of five concepts in the new ‘super terminal’ at Manchester Airport.
Beginning in 2020 and running for between five and seven years, the contract, through Autogrill subsidiary HMSHost International, is expected to generate €84m (US$93m) in revenue.
The airport recently announced the first wave of 19 points of sales that will feature in the new super terminal, with both iconic local brands and popular chains due to make their Manchester Airport debut.
Among the outlets HMSHost International will bring to the new terminal are KFC, Indian and Mexican street food specialist Wrapchic, local coffee brand Pot Kettle Black, gastropub Amber Alehouse, and VIT, which sells juices and healthy snacks. This will be KFC’s first outlet at Manchester Airport.
