Daifuku are pleased to announce the inclusion of the SONIC all-step bag drop at Passenger Terminal Expo, stand 4015, on March 10-12 in Paris, France. SONIC is Europe’s leading common-use bag drop, processing passengers for CityJet, easyJet, Flybe and Ryanair.
SONIC by Daifuku is a flexible solution that can be located in front of desks, outside the terminal or as a replacement for existing check-in kiosks. The all-step processing means that SONIC Bag Drop processes passengers however they arrive at the bag drop, with or without a pre-tagged bag.
SONIC automatically collects payments via Chip and PIN, and since 2009 SONIC has collected over £3m (US$4.6m) in excess baggage revenue, delivered immediately to the airline clients.
SONIC also collects and verifies passport and ID documents and can perform visa checks if required. SONIC includes a wealth of other functionality including DCS failover, audio prompts and dynamic branding.
During Passenger Terminal Expo, Daifuku has announced that it will give away two SONIC Bag Drop kiosks, each worth €20,000 (US$22,048) to a lucky airline or airport. Winners will be announced at the end of each day. To enter the competition visitors should proceed to stand 4015 and submit their business card.
