Kinetic Consultancy has launched a survey to evaluate recovery strategies and envisioning the new normal for airports during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kinetic aims at collecting insights from industry experts with a focus on the future of airport development and specifically the non-aeronautical revenue. New insights will support relevant scenario’s and allow the industry and its leaders to start planning to operate in the new normal.
Martijn Steur, managing director at Kinetic Consultancy says, “In our recent conversations with several airport industry leaders we’ve learned that there is a need for insights on the speed and shape of the recovery and envisioning the new normal. We are keen to play our part in understanding and supporting our relations as well as the broader airport and non-aeronautical community.”
Among current respondents are airport operators, food and beverage and retail operators and scholars. First initial findings show that the majority of respondents seem to agree with the statement that: Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the fundamentals of air travel will be changed forever.
Juriaan van Waalwijk, business analyst at Kinetic Consultancy: “No single person will be able to grasp the impact and future shaped by the COVID-19 pandemic to its full. We believe that as community we can collectively have a better understanding than separately.”
