GrayMatter and its local IT partner Arprotec have been selected to implement a new concession revenue management and analytics system at El Dorado Airport, Colombia.
The system will provide the real-time, non-intrusive extraction of sales data from point-of-sale (POS) terminals at the airport stores using Store Sense, GrayMatter’s IoT device.
The data extracted will interface with the billing system and will be further processed for income computation. Data from Store Sense is also analyzed to enable decision making through data-driven business insights around the performance of food and beverage (F&B) outlets, retail stores, duty-free shops, product categories and customer preferences.
Álvaro Gonzalez, CEO, El Dorado Airport, said, “We are constantly looking for technological innovations to improve our passenger experience. Data analysis will allow El Dorado to identify pain points and present a variety of alternatives for customers. This is a big step within a whole strategy to position El Dorado as one of the most important airports in Latin America.”
Vikas Gupta, CEO, GrayMatter, added, “We are happy to partner with Arprotec for this wonderful opportunity to work for El Dorado Airport. I look forward to this system bringing in immense benefits to El Dorado Airport business.”
