Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Arizona, has become the 25th airport to sign up to Clear’s biometric identity platform – a membership program that enables passengers to clear the initial identity process with just the tap of a finger or blink of the eye.
Clear is currently available in Terminal 4 (T4) at Phoenix Sky Harbor but will soon be available at all terminals.
Clear members move through a dedicated lane at airport security where they instantly validate their identities before moving on to the bag checks and metal detectors.
The company’s patented biometric-boarding pass technology will soon allow passengers to go from curb to gate with just the tap of a finger – making baggage checks, lounge access, security checkpoints and boarding completely frictionless. Delta Air Lines recently rolled out Clear for biometric lounge access in all 50 Delta Sky Clubs across the USA.
Clear membership is US$15 per month with the option to add an additional family member for US$50 per year. Members can also bring their children under 18 with them through the Clear lane for free.
“It’s an honor to partner with Phoenix Sky Harbor as the city’s leadership clearly understands the value of improving the airport experience for their flyers,” said Caryn Seidman Becker, chairman and CEO, Clear. “We are thrilled to be able to help travelers get to where they need to be in a more consistent, fast and frictionless way.”
