Vision-Box, a developer of biometric recognition, digital identity and seamless travel management solutions, has formed a strategic partnership with US-based digital identity specialist Airside Mobile.
The partnership allow Airside’s Digital Identity and health passport app to be integrated with Vision-Box’s identity management platform, Orchestra, to enable travelers to move along their entire journey using only their mobile device. Data protection of the system will be supported by Vision-Box’s certification systems and Airside’s distributed architecture, which the company says meets the required data protection laws, regulations and international standards.
Vision-Box states that its Orchestra identity management platform, a collaborative digital system merging real-time data administration and end-to-end customer-centric service management tools, can provide instant analysis, monitoring, decision-making and reporting ability.
Meanwhile, the Airside Digital Identity app is claimed to ensure a convenient single method for travelers to add their credentials (such as passports, driving licenses, Covid-19 lab results) to their mobile device using biometric source-verification. Travelers may choose to share their credentials according to their specified time-bound conditions at a multitude of digital and physical authentication points. Significantly, information is only stored on the traveler’s encrypted device, thereby reducing costs and liability for businesses and organizations who may have previously stored sensitive data on siloed databases.
Jessica Patel, chief revenue officer at Airside, commented on the collaboration, “What I especially appreciate about our partnership with Vision-Box is that the traveler is at the center of the journey, where they ought to be, breezing through online and in-person check points without any long lines or crowding. Our private and secure technologies fit together naturally, providing peace-of-mind for travelers and the industry at an especially critical time when the health and safety of everyone is paramount.”
