The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has purchased 100 additional L3Harris Technologies ProVision 2 passenger screening systems for deployment at airports throughout the USA.
The ProVision 2 system is a scanner that uses software to screen passengers at the checkpoint. The ProVision family was introduced in 2009, and nearly 1,000 ProVision systems (both ProVision and ProVision 2) have been deployed across the country since then.
“The ProVision has been a stalwart within the security industry, and continuous developments ensure that it will remain at the forefront of the industry for years to come,” said Todd Silvestri, vice president, product and program development for security and detection systems, L3Harris. “We work to enable our products and technology roadmap to align to TSA’s security mission.”
