Riga International Airport in Latvia has been officially recognized as an Airports Council International (ACI) training facility. Riga’s Training Center already holds regular international courses for airport professionals and its new status will only help it to attract more individuals and conduct more frequent classes.
ACI is recognized as one of the world’s leading aviation training providers, offering top-level accredited training programs on airport management, operational management and safety matters. The announcement was made today (June 14) at ACI’s General Assembly, held in Paris, France.
Ilona Līce, chairperson of the board of Riga International Airport, said, “Official ACI Training Center status is the highest professional appraisal we can receive and acknowledges the qualifications of Riga Airport’s Training Center and its ability to host high-quality international training. In the strictly regulated and constantly developing aviation sector, being recognized as a top-level training center is not only a matter of prestige, but also great responsibility.”
