Operations have begun at Salalah Airport in Oman with the first flight arriving at 9:25am yesterday (June 15).
The new 706,500ft² terminal includes 24 check-in counters, eight passenger boarding bridges and eight remote aircraft stands. It has a capacity of one million passengers per annum.
The Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC), which operates the airport, will continue to move operations from its current facility to the new airport until June 22 and is providing transport from the terminal to the old airport building for passengers who have parked their cars at the old facility.
OAMC staff are on hand throughout the transition to provide guidance and assistance to passengers.
