Ireland West Airport in Knock, Co. Mayo, has teamed up with professional rugby player Jack Carty to further strengthen its links with the community.
Carty, a Roscommon native, currently plays for Connacht Rugby in the Pro14 league and has represented Ireland at various levels.
Working with local sports stars is part of a new strategic initiative by the airport aimed at further strengthening its links with the community. As part of the new partnership, Carty will work closely with the airport on the development of campaigns that will benefit local people.
Commenting on the announcement, Donal Healy, head of marketing, Ireland West Airport, said, “We are very appreciative of the ongoing support we get from the people of the Connacht region and this partnership with Jack is a perfect fit for the airport. We look forward to working with Jack on a number of exciting new campaigns in the coming months and hopefully we will have the opportunity to cheer him on in the Rugby World Cup in Japan in September.”
