Denver International Airport’s (DEN) free ice skating rink and seasonal entertainment has returned for another festive period, in partnership with United Airlines.
In its second year, the DEN ice skating rink will be open from 9am to 9pm daily from November 24 to January 7. The rink spans 40ft (12m) by 60ft (18m), is larger than 2016’s, and includes a custom Airstream trailer skate shop offering free ice skate rentals on the plaza, located on level 5 between the Jeppesen Terminal and the Westin Denver International Airport.
The ice rink will feature music every day, and free hot chocolate every Friday from 4pm to 6pm. Holiday entertainment, including choirs, musicians, pianists and dance groups, will take place inside the Jeppesen Terminal from 10am to 6pm daily from December 18-24. Other activities, including special guest appearances, will be announced at a later date.
Kim Day, CEO at Denver International Airport, said, “More than 8,000 people laced up their skates and enjoyed the ice skating rink last year, so we are bringing it back this year bigger and better. We are encouraging passengers to come early to the airport to enjoy the holiday season on ice before their flight. And, since the ice rink is pre-security, non-travelers can also enjoy skating, music and other entertainment we are bringing to DEN.”
