As school half-term approaches, London Heathrow Airport has revealed a series of family-friendly services and limited-time offers.
On February 13-23, 2020, Heathrow’s Mr Men characters – Mr Adventure and Little Miss Explorer – will visit the terminals with passenger ambassadors, encouraging children to take part in craft activities.
This year, children can also get started on the Mr Men fun ahead of their travels through the new Mr Men family portrait feature which enables them to assign Mr Men characters to family members and friends to create a personalized portrait. For parents and guardians, Heathrow has brought back the ever-popular Kids Eat Free offer, available at selected restaurants across terminals when an adult also eats.
This month also marks the start of Heathrow’s certified “Friendly wi-fi” across terminals – intended to reassure parents and guardians that the airport’s super-fast free wi-fi network is safe for children to use.
Chief commercial officer Ross Baker said, “Our ambition is to provide the world’s best airport service for all our passengers – no matter their age. I am especially pleased that we now offer certified “Friendly wi-fi” which will keep our youngest passengers safe online, and give parents the reassurance and peace of mind they deserve in their travels through the airport.”
