Emirates passengers are to be presented with complimentary hygiene kits containing masks, gloves, antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizer at check-in as part of the airline’s measures to reassure customers. Travelers and employees must wear the gloves and masks throughout Dubai airport, while arrivals will be monitored with thermal scanners.
Other measures includes the installation of protective barriers at check-in desks and immigration counters, and boarding sequences that are being staggered. In line with measures being introduced by many airlines, passengers must now board by row from the last to the first and do so in small numbers.
Waiting areas have been modified so customers can observe social distancing and boarding gates are deep cleaned and disinfected after the boarding of every flight.
Meanwhile, flight and cabin crew are provided with cars for pick up and drop off from their home, and layovers are being kept to a minimum.
