Applications are being accepted for FRAXperience, a TechQuartier acceleration program for startups interested in integrating their digital solutions into Frankfurt Airport’s Terminal 3.
The free program is a three-day, in-depth acceleration event that connects founders with the local Fraport team, international startups in the travel and aviation industries, and airline industry partners. Participants will have the opportunity to validate their ideas with Fraport, network during a business speed dating event, improve their pitches, and present their startups during an open demo day.
The program will run from January 27-29, 2020, at TechQuartier in central Frankfurt and at Frankfurt Airport. The deadline for applications is November 29.
Applications will be welcomed from international growth-stage startups in the following areas of expertise: airport experience; design business development; passenger communication and orientation; and smart resource management.
Frankfurt is one of the busiest airports in Europe, with about 190,500 passengers per day traveling on one of 98 airlines to 306 destinations in 98 countries. It’s also the hub for Germany’s Lufthansa. Fraport, the airport operator, is building a third terminal to keep up with the demand of international travel and is looking to introduce new digital services that will enhance the travel experience.
