Belgium’s Brussels South Charleroi Airport is to close from Tuesday, March 24, until Sunday, April 5, 2020, it has announced.
Given the suspension of the majority of flights offered by different airlines operating at Brussels South Charleroi Airport, the closure of several services available to passengers (catering, duty free etc.), as well as the resulting socioeconomic impact, the airport will close access to its facilities to passengers and airlines as of 11:59pm on Tuesday, March 24, 2020.
The airport will be closed until Sunday, April 5, 2020, although this may be extended, depending on how the situation evolves. This closure does not however fully apply to maintenance, government and medical flights.
