Airport Dimensions has opened a sleep ’n fly Sleep Lounge at Concourse C (Terminal 3) in Dubai International Airport (DBX), offering guests a unique, private space in which to rest and socially distance.
The Concourse C lounge is Airport Dimensions’ third sleep ’n fly-branded location at Dubai International, and the company’s relationship with the airport dates back to 2017 when it opened its Concourse A premises. This new lounge opening also marks Airport Dimensions’ fourth Sleep Lounge in the Middle East, and the second opening at a Gulf hub over the last three months.
The Sleep Lounge’s features include:
- FlexiSuite Pods (12 available): This 180° flat-bed reclining seat in a soundproof space represents the gold standard in sleeping pod design. It features dimmable ambient lighting; a reading light; air conditioning; a 32in screen to connect to the traveler’s mobile, tablet or laptop; a folding tray table; cup holders; a small waste bin; and baggage storage and compartments to store coats, shoes and a laptop.
- Sleep Cabins (five available): Three double bed cabins with an optional pull-out bed for a child of up to 115cm in height and two bunk bed cabins are available. These small but stylishly designed spaces are soundproof and have air conditioning, as well as main, ambient and reading lights, an alarm clock, a coat hanger, a mirror and tray table.
Oliver Schulz, managing director at OnGround Hospitality, part of Airport Dimensions, said, “We’re delighted to be further expanding our business at Dubai International Airport, offering our third Sleep Lounge to passengers looking for a place to rest and relax away from the buzz of the main concourse. We’ve seen considerable growth in our operations since Airport Dimensions acquired the OnGround Hospitality business and sleep ’n fly [in July 2020], and we’re looking forward to continuing to work together to increase our offering at airports worldwide.”
Eugene Barry, Dubai Airports EVP Commercial, said, “The new sleep ’n fly Sleep Lounge at DXB is a welcome new addition to our ever-evolving customer proposition at DXB. We are committed to work with travel-centric partners in responding to travelers’ needs, especially in a fast-changing market.”
