Infrastructure specialist Aecom has won a place on a new framework to deliver design and project management services to MAG (Manchester Airports Group).
The win is Aecom’s fourth successive framework place with MAG, continuing a partnership that spans more than 25 years. The company’s work on this latest framework will consist of full multi-discipline design at MAG-owned Manchester, East Midlands and London Stansted Airports, where Aecom is the preferred consultant, as well as project management at London Stansted.
Stephen Gleave, cities director at Aecom, said, “Developing Manchester Airport is crucial to keeping people, communities and businesses in the UK’s North moving in the most efficient way. Our teams will work collaboratively with MAG to deliver infrastructure which supports the region’s growth and connectivity.”
Aecom’s previous work with MAG includes the civil and structural engineering for the design of Manchester Airport’s award-winning control tower, terminal remodeling works at Manchester, East Midlands and London Stansted Airports, and the airfield elements of the Manchester Transformation Programme.
The framework lasts three years with the possibility of a two year extension.
