Comfort Hotel Arlanda Airport has opened next to the terminals and SkyCity at Sweden’s Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
The new hotel was developed by Swedavia Real Estate and will be operated by Nordic Choice Hotels under its Comfort brand, a hotel concept in the affordable luxury segment aimed primarily at leisure travelers and families.
Comfort Hotel Arlanda Airport is in the heart of the growing airport city, in the same district as the new Office One complex. More buildings and hotels are in the planning stage, including conference facilities.
One of the largest Nordic airport hotels, the new building was designed by architects BAU and built by Skanska. The hotel was built to attain a high level of environmental performance, complying with BREEAM’s ‘Very good’ rating. Its opening brings Arlanda’s overall hotel capacity to 1,250 rooms.
“We are very proud to be able to present a brand-new meeting place at Stockholm Arlanda – Comfort Hotel Arlanda Airport. We have long seen increased demand for hotel rooms close to the terminals and can now offer our passengers and visitors an even wider range of options. The new hotel is also an important part of Swedavia’s strategy to develop an airport city at and around Stockholm Arlanda Airport,” said Jonas Abrahamsson, president and CEO of Swedavia.
