Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton and members of the Phoenix City Council in Arizona have officially unveiled the first phase of the modernized Terminal 3 (T3) facility at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The renovation has provided T3 with a larger consolidated security checkpoint and 31 new common-use ticket counters, enabling greater flexibility among the airlines.
Phases two and three of the US$590m project will include replacing T3’s south concourse and adding new food and retail concessions as well as upgrading the north concourse with improved customer amenities. The entire project is scheduled for completion in 2020.
