Qognify, formerly NICE Security, has been selected by Oslo Airport in Norway to install its security surveillance solution as part of an expansion project in Terminal 2 (T2). The installation will help the airport to ensure operational efficiency, business continuity, passenger safety and security.
Oslo Airport is anticipating passenger numbers to rise from 24 million to 28 million in the next few years, and the Qognify solution will help to effectively manage all types of incidents, including operational bottlenecks, safety hazards and security threats. Qognify is also working with system integrator Racom to implement a scalable IP surveillance solution at the new terminal.
Moti Shabtai, president of Qognify, said, “The implementation of our security solutions at one of Europe’s largest airports is a testament to our leadership in this sector. The pillars of our security portfolio, NiceVision can help major transit operations like Oslo Airport streamline all aspects of incident-handling and response throughout the entire incident lifecycle.”
Arne Grave, CEO, Racom, said, “Our partnership with Qognify on this project has enabled us to design a solution that fully meets the needs and expectations of Oslo Airport. This includes an adaptation to modern video formats, ample storage and a robust structure that ensures access to video in all circumstances and eventualities.”
