The GVK Lounge in Terminal 2 (T2) at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in India has been acknowledged as Asia’s Leading Airport Lounge at the World Travel Awards 2015 held in Hong Kong.
Operated and built by Travel Food Services (TFS) and Performa, the GVK Lounge covers approximately 33,000ft² across two levels and is capable of handling up to 440 guests at any time. Inaugurated in November 2014, it was the first common-use luxury lounge in India and features a concierge service, smoking zone, a bar, luxury spa, shower area, relaxation area, library and a business center.
Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry. Travel professionals and high-end tourism consumers cast approximately 500,000 unique votes in 2015.
