TV and celebrity chef Michael Symon will ‘break bread’ tomorrow (November 20) with a dozen military service members at his Bar Symon restaurant at Pittsburgh International Airport Pennsylvania, USA.
Symon’s breakfast with the troops will be followed by a meet and greet with passengers in the Center Core, and a book signing of his new cookbook, 5 in 5 for Every Season: 165 Quick Dinners, Sides, Holiday Dishes, and More.
Jay Kruisselbrink, senior vice president of Airmall USA, the developer of the airport’s shopping center, said, “Not only are we excited to have Chef Symon back in Pittsburgh, it will be a special privilege to welcome these brave men and women who serve our country.”
Chef Symon’s visit kicks off concessionaire Paradies Lagardère’s annual Treat Our Troops program, which offers military personnel a free menu item and beverage at its restaurants nationwide during the Thanksgiving week. In Pittsburgh, active and retired military service personnel can show their military ID when ordering or checking-out at Bar Symon for a complimentary meal from November 23-27, 2015.
Gregg Paradies, president and CEO, Paradies Lagardère, said, “Treat Our Troops is our way of serving our military members in appreciation for serving us all year long. We’re grateful that chef Symon will be joining us to kick off the program.”
