Munich Airport is to pilot tailored personal shopping assistant services this summer as part of its offering to Japanese and Arabic passengers.
From July 16 to September 2, Arabic passengers will be able to shop in the airport with the help of an assistant who speaks their native language, while the same service will be available for Japanese-speaking customers from July 16 until October 7. The pilot project follows a successful trial of Chinese-speaking shopping assistants in Munich’s Terminal 2.
The assistants will be available daily from 1pm to 8.30pm to help passengers overcome potential cultural and language barriers that may arise during their shopping experience. The service is free of charge and the specialized sales assistants will be clearly marked throughout the airport.
